00:00Around 4am this morning, two males carrying knives entered a club located on Boreas Road,

00:06Hampton North, where they accosted an employee threatening with knives before restraining him.

00:13They then proceeded to steal a large amount of cash and a number of electronic goods before

00:17leaving the club. Around an hour later, a second staff member attended the premises and

00:22aided the victim and alerted authorities. Police attended, declared a crime scene and

00:27commenced an investigation which is currently handled by Newcastle City detectives. There's

00:32no information to suggest it's connected with any other incident or means of crime,

00:36but obviously the investigation is in its infancy and we're open to all lines of inquiry.
