00:00In Palawan, one of the most dangerous animals is starting to become active.

00:07And the one and only animal that can be scratched.

00:11The Palawan Pangolin or Balintong.

00:18It smells every corner of the forest to find its favorite food.

00:26Cows and sheep.

00:31Even though the Balintong are rare, they are still the world's most trafficked animal.

00:39According to the National Parks in 2019,

00:43it is estimated that more than a million Pangolins are used for illegal trading.

00:50But aside from poaching, there are other dangers in their lives.

00:56Due to rising temperatures,

01:00the number of cows around dies or goes down.

01:05And in the search for food, there is a sudden danger.

01:13It's too hot here in Palawan.

01:15The incidence of grass fires is increasing.

01:20It smells like it's on fire.
