00:00Hello there. It's been quite cloudy and misty and murky over the last couple of days. Now
00:05that is set to continue as we head in towards the weekend. England and Wales does have this
00:09blanket of cloud where it is quite low and we could see a lot of hill fog. So if you
00:13are driving through the festive period, do make sure you take care when travelling between
00:17places. But we do have this band of light rain moving across southern Scotland and Northern
00:23Ireland as well. As it does clear, we could potentially see some sunnier spells developing
00:28across eastern and northern Scotland, but it will bring in some blustery showers towards
00:32the north in this strong westerly flow. But temperatures through today, it is going to
00:37be a little bit chilly, especially across the south. So highs of around 7 or 8 towards
00:42the north, a little bit milder. We could even get up towards those 10 degrees through the
00:46latter part of Saturday. Now, as we go through the evening, this band of light rain will
00:52continue to move its way southwards towards the English border. So we will have some clearer
00:56spells across Northern Ireland and southern Scotland, but more rain is coming in towards
01:00the western half of Scotland, which will be a lot more persistent and it will bring some
01:04stronger winds as well through the early hours of Sunday. Further south is mostly dry, but
01:10that layer of cloud will keep those temperatures above freezing, but it will still feel rather
01:15chilly for people waking up on Sunday morning with lows of about 5 or 4 degrees. Now, it
01:21will be a manky start across Wales, central and eastern England. But as we go through
01:25the morning, that cloud will start to break and we will start to see a lot more sunnier
01:30spells developing by midday. So much more sunshine, which we haven't seen in the last
01:34few days. But towards northern England, northern Ireland and Scotland, much more in the way
01:38of cloud and that rain is persistent for western Scotland. Winds are strong here. We could
01:44even potentially see some wintry showers across the highlands of Scotland in the very far
01:48north. Now, temperatures on Sunday, maybe just a notch up on what we saw on Saturday.
01:54Widely seeing 10 or even 11 degrees in the very far southwest, which is a couple of degrees
01:59up on what we would expect for the end of December. Now, as we head in towards the last
02:04couple of days of 2024, there could be a little bit of a change around the corner. But for
