00:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines, or AFP, has not recorded any attack launched by the

00:05Communist Party of the Philippines' New People's Army, or CPP-NPA, in relation to

00:10the group's 56th founding anniversary.

00:13The AFP is on heightened alert, but not because of the CPP-NPA's anniversary, but due to

00:20the continuation of government's humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts to

00:25the unrest of Mt. Canlaon, and to provide security during the holiday season.

00:30The AFP earlier said only a lone, weakened guerrilla front of the Communist terrorist

00:36group remains, and because of this, it no longer has the capability to launch massive

00:41operations.

00:42But nonetheless, because it's new tide season, and we want to celebrate every Filipino, we

00:51are working closely with law enforcement agencies para mapanatili natin itong peace

00:56and order."
