00:30But notice here in Bukawe, Ryan, there are no people.

00:35When it comes to fireworks and lights,

00:37Bukawe, Bulacan is usually crowded with people who want a loud and bright New Year celebration.

00:43One day after Christmas, only a few people are buying fireworks and lights

00:48in the famous fireworks capital of the Philippines.

00:51According to Topspeed, they were able to buy it last year,

00:55but this year, they are buying it in a controlled manner because it's out of budget.

00:59The price is a bit high. Sometimes it doubles, sometimes it triples.

01:02We can buy it. But the price, the difference is really far when it comes to that.

01:07The sellers admitted that the price of local fireworks is increasing

01:12because the materials used in the production of these are imported.

01:16The price of local fireworks is 20 to 30 percent higher this year compared to December 2023.

01:22But according to a store, the price of local fireworks is still affordable.

01:27We have 1,000 pesos.

01:30For 1,000 pesos, what we can see is good.

01:34That's the most affordable budget, ma'am.

01:39There's a high chance that it will increase before 31, ma'am.

01:46For 100 pesos, you have 10 pieces of lucis.
