00:27Divisoria is known as the country's Mecca.
00:29For retail from all kinds of merchandise and Christmas gifts such as toys,
00:34Clothes and even ingredients and food items for Noche Buena.
00:38That's why today several people rushed to Divisoria for the last-minute Christmas shopping right before Christmas Eve.
00:45Such as Angela who traveled from Caloocan City despite the rainy weather just to pick up additional gifts for her niece and nephew.
00:59But even though Divisoria is the place to go for last-minute shopping, there are lesser shoppers this year compared to the previous years.
01:18Vendors see online sellers as competition.
01:22But still for today's last day, they will lower their prices by almost half just to be able to make a sale and earn money.
01:29There are more vendors. There are more vendors. There are more vendors. It's also raining.
01:37On the other hand, the Manila Police District said despite the rush and meseto Divisoria, no untoward incident was recorded in the area since December 15.
01:47Since Christmas Eve 2024, December 15, we have not recorded any incident there.
01:55This is the only thing that shows that we are not making a mistake in our security areas.
02:01We are asking our countrymen, if you notice any individuals, based on their presence and movement, please inform our policemen.
02:15In total, the MPD deployed 1,200 police officers and tomorrow, their focus will be on patrol in the parks where people are expected to visit every Christmas such as in Luneta and many more.
