00:19Together with Song Tao, the head of China's National Taiwan Office, they attended the China-Taiwan Cultural Forum.

00:25At the forum, Song Tao said,

00:28Chinese culture not only flourishes in China, but also flourishes in Taiwan.

00:34He strongly criticized the Taiwanese People's Party for trying to break the link between the two sides' historical cultures,

00:39with the intention of promoting the de-Chineseization.

00:42He called for the two-sided compatriots to recognize the Taiwan independence and evil intentions of the People's Party of China,

00:48and resolutely oppose the Taiwan independence culture.

00:50Ma Ying-jeou also responded to Song Tao's remarks.

00:55in the past few decades, Taiwan has played an important role in inheriting and promoting Chinese culture.

01:07He said, under the political manipulation of the People's Party of China,

01:10there is a wrong direction of de-Chineseization,

01:12so it is necessary for them to revolt against the government.

01:15He also emphasized that any action of de-Chineseization is doomed not to succeed.

01:21Taiwan's former president, Ma Ying-jeou,

01:24took the Taiwanese youth to visit China for nine days from last Wednesday.

01:28On the night of his arrival in China,

01:30Ma Ying-jeou met with Song Tao, the director of the Chinese National Taiwan Office,

01:33and visited the 731st Army of the Japanese Army in Tsinghua separately in the next few days.

01:38He also visited the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival,

01:43Yesterday, Ma Ying-jeou and Song Tao showed up at the Dufu Grand Hall,

01:48where they held a forum.

01:50Ma Ying-jeou said,

01:52the people on both sides are part of the Chinese nation,

01:55and they share Chinese culture.

01:57He said, in the past few decades,

01:59Taiwan has played an important role in promoting Chinese culture.
