NSW government and unions reach agreement for Sydney trains to run on NYE

The rail unions and the state government have reached a resolution, which will see Sydney's New Years Eve fireworks go ahead with limited industrial action on the rail network.

00:10The Minns government should be back at the bargaining table on Boxing Day and they should

00:14be trying to get resolution for this agreement before New Year's Eve.

00:28A lot of the impact of industrial action is because transport don't put appropriate contingencies

00:34in place.

00:36We don't anticipate there will be any disruptions on New Year's Eve and we've been saying that

00:40for weeks now.

00:41So there's even less of a chance of it happening now and the government should have confidence

00:46to go and tell the public that that's the case.
