00:00The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office is now more focused on security for the upcoming Christmas and New Year.

00:06This includes the deployment of police in churches, terminals, and main roads,

00:11as well as the strict enforcement of the law against gunfire.

00:20The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office is already working on its steps

00:25to ensure the safety of the residents during the Christmas and New Year celebrations,

00:32as well as to remind them of the banning of gunfire and the strict enforcement of traffic laws.

00:39According to Police Col. Frederic Obar, Provincial Director of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office,

00:45police personnel have already passed through churches, roads, malls, and transportation terminals

00:53to ensure the safety of the public.

00:56In addition, the INPPO will strengthen their presence in the barangays

01:01to avoid mauling incidents and other crimes.

01:06The INPPO is also coordinating with barangay officials and residents

01:11to help them respond to emergencies.

01:15The police have already issued checkpoints to ensure the safety of motorists.

01:21Obar emphasized that motorists should not drive while drinking alcohol to avoid accidents.

01:28What we are looking at here is not only crime,

01:32but including public safety issues like traffic incidents.

01:38Aside from the checkpoints that we will do to deter criminals and accidents,

01:48we will also need barangay tunnels or other law enforcement units.

01:58the public was encouraged by the Police Head to use an alternative sound system

02:04and warned that it is prohibited to use guns to avoid stray bullets.

03:13King Kong, Tuna, and Goodbye Chismosa.

03:16The police hope that by following these laws and regulations,

03:21the public will be able to save and adjust to the upcoming Christmas and New Year.
