Zelenskyy slams Putin's call for 'missile duel in Kyiv'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has slammed Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal of a "duel" over Kyiv involving Russia's new medium-range ballistic missile, the Oreshnik, and Western-supplied air defense systems.

Putin earlier suggested a "high-tech duel," saying: "Let them select a target, let’s say in Kyiv, and focus all of their air defense forces there. We will carry out an Oreshnik strike and see what happens."
