00:00The oldest Ten Commandments tablet was found in New York, America.

00:09It was bought for more than 5 million dollars or almost 300 million pesos.

00:14The 1,500-year-old marble tablet was discovered in 1913 in Israel.

00:21The Ten Commandments were engraved in the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet used by the Jews.

00:28New Year, new 50, 100, and 500 polymer bills will be held.

00:34Let's take a look at the decennial and find out where we can exchange it in Marie Zumal's report.

00:49That's why the Central Bank of the Philippines has just assigned new money.

00:54The BSP has just presented the polymer banknotes to President Bombo Marcos.

00:59This is what the new polymer banknotes look like,

01:02the money that we will see in circulation starting next week.

01:06Aside from 1,000 pesos, where the Philippine Eagle is located,

01:10the Visayan Spotted Deer, Palawan Peacock Pheasant, is located in the 500-peso bill,

01:17for 100 pesos, and Visayan Leopard Cat for 50 pesos.

01:22The first Philippine polymer banknote series is smarter, cleaner, and stronger.

01:30Smarter because they have advanced anti-counterfeiting features and a smaller carbon footprint.

01:38Cleaner because viruses and bacteria do not survive on polymer as long as they do on paper.

01:47And stronger because they last longer than their paper counterparts.

01:52It can be obtained from banks and used from December 23,

01:56but it is limited to the Greater Manila area.

01:58Starting in January, it is expected to circulate throughout the country.

02:02But even if there is a change in money, old paper can still be used.

02:06But because it is stronger, polymer banknotes are said to be more practical.

02:10Polymer banknotes can last up to seven and a half years, five times longer.

02:14And that means that we no longer need to replace them as often.

02:18Saving money, cutting down on waste, and making a meaningful contribution to protecting the environment.
