00:00In the news of Chess, International Master Michael Concio Jr. retained his title in the Philippine National Juniors Chess Championship.

00:08This is after he defeated Gabriel Ryan Paradero in 55 moves to end the tournament with 6.5 points.

00:16In Concio's victory, he got the opportunity to represent the Philippines for the 2025 World Juniors Championship

00:24which will be held next year in Montenegro.

00:27Aside from Concio, Lexy Grace Hernandez also entered the World Championships for the Girls' Category.

00:33Hernandez broke the tiebreaker and was able to beat Darren De La Cruz in the top spot.
