00:24to introduce the government's agencies to the first Parangal Gawad ng Kausayan sa Komunikasyong Pampubliko

00:33The Parangal was also the first to introduce the prominent programs in communication
00:37led by Bagong Pilipinas and the fight against fake news and disinformation.
00:42In his speech, President R. Marcos emphasized the importance of effective communication in leadership.
00:47The President explained that effective communication is the foundation of the trust of the citizens in the government.
00:54The prominent initiatives included the Public Service Campaign Award
00:59awarded to agencies that contribute to the government's plans for the experience of the community.
01:04The awardees included Lupon, Davao Oriental, Bataan, and Victoria City.
01:09The awardees also included the DSWD for the Best Public Service Campaign,
01:15Pag-ibig Fund for the Best Government Innovation,
01:18National Privacy Commission for the Best Long-Form Content Category,
01:22and the Champion of Information Integrity on the Department of Budget and Management.
01:27The DSWD Assistant Secretary, Irene Dumlao, was also recognized as an Outstanding Public Communicator.
01:34The Parangal is one of the initiatives carried out by the Presidential Communications Office
01:39to continue fighting the spread of misinformation in the country
