NATO's secretary-general Mark Rutte has said he wants to discuss ways to put Ukraine in a position of strength for any future peace talks with Russia.

00:12with Ukraine's president and select European leaders.

00:19And very much high on the agenda is to make sure that the president, his team, Ukraine

00:26are in the best possible position one day when they decide so to start the peace talks.

00:32And that means that we have to do everything now to make sure that when it comes to air

00:36defense, when it comes to other weapon systems, that we make sure that we provide whatever

00:43we can.

00:44Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted the need for a united European position and

00:50stressed the priority of securing more air defense systems.

00:55Zelensky also met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Brussels as part of a series of

01:20meetings with various leaders ahead of an EU summit on Thursday to discuss the war in

01:26Ukraine and EU support.
