00:00Caller just forgot about me
00:05Hey, uh, you have a gripe today? Yeah, I got a gripe something I seen coming in
00:10I just gotta does have anything to do with me. Oh, no
00:14That's cool. Well, that's the show. I had a little haha. I had a little gripe myself of with me. No
00:22If you're on a if you're on a BART train and
00:27The train stops
00:30And the door open, okay
00:32But you're not getting off at that stop
00:36Get away from the door
00:38Get away, that's from the door. That's easy. I actually have people standing in the doorway as it opens
00:45That's dumb, which is very foolish. Did you say excuse me something? Yeah, I give him a little
00:50Little nudge, excuse me. Pardon me
00:53And then I saw one today a young young girl
00:57up 17
00:59We get off at montgomery
01:01Here comes the flood of people getting out. It's a wave
01:05And she's actually trying to get into the train while everybody's
01:09Getting out. Oh young lady saying excuse me, excuse me
01:13and
01:15honestly
01:16That took all my restraint
01:18To not say something her heart was in the right place. No, no. No, it wasn't
01:24It wasn't in the right place
01:26Anybody who lives in our society should know that when an elevator door opens
01:32The most efficient way to do thing is to let everybody get out and then you get in
01:37It's not a free-for-all. Yeah
01:40No, I want more than yeah, I want you're right. We had an awkward exchange coming out of the restroom yesterday, man. We did
01:48Why did I say excuse me to you? Well, because you almost took my head off. I just
01:53Bothered me open that door. So why did you say?
01:57What do you mean?
01:58I mean, I opened the door. I was I was done. There's a sign on the door that actually says open door slowly
02:04And what did I do?
02:06He almost put the door through my head
02:09I didn't even know that's my spritz daddy. But yeah, you're not your job back to uh, hey jerry back to schroeder
02:16Yeah, i'm not kidding
02:18um
02:20Let's go to steve-o in san mateo get us started here. What's up steve-o. How you doing?
02:26Hey guys, thanks for taking my call i'm actually calling from san francisco. All right. Um, I want to uh, I want to um,
02:34Touch on the one negative that people are talking about with. Um schroeder
02:40And that is that his his attitude can be a little abrasive
02:44Um, and you know, the warriors have worked so
02:48hard
02:49At getting the locker room mentality all put together this year after a couple years of difficulty
02:55And so it's it's definitely a concern for me, and I think it's a concern for a lot of people
03:00But the positive twist I want to put on it
03:04is
03:05um buddy healed
03:07addition
03:08Could not have come at a better time than for this trade
03:12uh
03:14All indications are that buddy's been a great
03:18Connector with the team since he's arrived
03:21Uh, just a gregarious guy who I think can can really let a lot of pressure out of situations like that. So
03:29Um, I think that the concern about schroeder's attitude is legit
03:33Um, we do want a competitor on this team though. We want a fighter
03:37And uh, and so I think uh, buddy healed is going to be kind of the behind the scenes, uh
03:45Ingredient that that maybe smooths it all over. Yeah, uh appreciate it because I i've actually thanks for the call steve
03:51I've been thinking about buddy healed
03:53And he he may get squeezed a little minutes wise, but he also
03:59Now can have more of a playmaker
04:03To play alongside of when curry's not on the floor and he's great in transition
04:08Stony buddy that is finding the spot and all he needs is a rock and is going up
04:13um
04:15by the way
04:17For all you people out there that have been hating on pods
04:21And there have been a lot. I think he's the most polarizing player. Oh, come on now. How do you feel now? Because
04:27I mean he's he's the one who's going to feel this
04:30Uh the most this is steve kerr on
04:34ostensibly
04:35schroeder helping
04:37pods
04:38I actually think this will really help. Uh, brandon, you know a year ago
04:42He played most of his minutes like 90 percent next to either chris paul or steph curry
04:48So he was he's really playing the two and and what we like about brandon is his playmaking
04:53But this year he's been playing mostly as the one and that's a different role entirely
04:58And so I I think this will be good for him
05:01He's he's really good on the back side of a play when somebody else creates an advantage and then he gets the ball
05:07He's great at creating the next advantage or or you know
05:10The next the next pass that's there and that's uh, that's where he thrived last year
05:14And i'm hopeful that getting him back into that role will will help him get going
05:19There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah
05:21And to me go here. Well to me, this is how you figure stuff out
05:26All right, you had pods he played a role last year
05:29He had a nice rookie season and now you want him to take a bigger role
05:33So you give him more responsibility?
05:35And then guess what after a third of the season you evaluate it and they've said
05:41He's not good enough as a backup point guard. Let's go get schroeder
05:45they go they're going to go get schroeder and now pajevsky's not going to play as much like
05:50But jackals will be vindicated
05:53Well, everybody wanted pods out of lineup, you know week three when he was okay
05:58And it's like sometimes you just let it play out and and give like
06:02And why here's why you do that
06:05here's why
06:06You would err on the side of letting pods try to figure it out for 25 games instead of 12
06:12if
06:13if you let him
06:15play a third of the season
06:18and
06:19He hasn't had a great year now you make the move and he's got no gripe
06:23You gave him 25 games
06:26Now if you give him eight games
06:29And you don't think it works
06:31And you demote him well, then he can say man
06:34I never really got a shot at it and he might be right but the bottom line is
06:38He had an opportunity at this role and it doesn't mean he'll never get it. No doubt
06:42It just means he ain't getting it right now. Stiney. I feel like dr
06:45Harry edwards when I come with this take and it's bottom line and I know what i'm talking about
06:51Last year his highest power pods
06:55represented to some of the fan base
06:59They got they took it out on pods that they felt like he got a better
07:03He got better treatment than moody and kaminga, which I didn't you know, we can spend an hour on that
07:09But it wasn't pods fault. You got to give him credit and he took advantage of a situation
07:14But I do believe right now stiney for whatever reason the jackals the social media the ones that were anti pods
07:21Even when he was balling they feel vindicated now like I told you I told you
07:27But the bottom line is his career still young
07:30and and hopefully he'll learn from uh
07:32From schroeder. Well, the jackals ain't coming out now because he ain't gonna play. Well, and that's uh as much right for sure
