00:00The Philippine government finally got custody of Mary Jane Veloso and was able to bring her back to the country,

00:06back to the waiting arms of those who have missed her dearly.

00:10Although Veloso was able to spend some time with some members of her family,

00:14she will be in the succeeding days undergoing the normal processes that persons deprived of liberty or PDLs go through.

00:22Indeed, upon arrival, Veloso was immediately transported to the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong,

00:29where the expected reunion with her relatives took place.

00:32It was also here where Veloso made an appeal to the president, an appeal for clemency.

00:38For their part, the Department of Justice or DOJ says, while under custody,

00:43Veloso will be subject to Philippine laws and leaves the matter of her possible attainment of liberty to the leader of the land.

00:51Bureau of Corrections Director General Gregorio Katapang, Jr., on the other hand, says,

00:57Bucor eyes to form a board to review Veloso's served sentence in Indonesia,

01:01which could possibly pave the way to her eventual release through the Good Conduct Time Allowance or parole.

01:08The moment Mary Jane Veloso is transferred here on custody,

01:26she would be subjected to all laws, regulations, and the processes of the Philippine government

01:35that are accorded to any and ordinary person deprived of liberty.

01:41In due time, we will be able to know if Mary Jane is qualified for GCTA and then if there's a GCTA,

01:51has she served the minimum. So that will incite her for parole.
