00:44take us inside her emotional reunion with her estranged son, 18-year-old Jaden. The mother duo

00:50became estranged in the summer of 2022 and Jaden and Preston, her 19-year-old son, moved in with

00:57their father, her ex Kevin Federline, to Hawaii. Sources say Spears is overjoyed now to reconnect

01:04with Jaden while continuing to work on her relationship with Preston and her mum, Lynn.

01:09Overall, Spears appears to be on an upswing, the source tells us. In many ways, Britney seems much

01:15happier than she was last year. According to a second source, Jaden initiated contact in November.

01:22They told us he's open to mending the relationship with his mum and seeing where things go. Britney

01:27was very excited to hear from him. It means everything to her. A third source tells us Jaden

01:33plans to go to school in California and has been staying with Spears and noted they've been getting

01:38along great. The second source also shared that Britney's convinced they'll have a flourishing

01:43relationship in the near future. It's all she ever talks about. She would love a second chance

01:48with them. News of the estrangement made headlines after Preston and Jaden declined to attend her June

01:532022 wedding to Asghari. Jaden addressed the strained relationship in an interview with ITV

01:59that September in which he said he wanted her to get better mentally and called her out for having

02:04an overzealous social media presence. In response, Spears hit back in a later deleted Instagram post

02:10saying it deeply saddens me to know I wasn't up to his expectations of a mother and suggested Jaden

02:16pick up a book and read one before discussing her mental health. By June of this year, they appeared

02:21to be on better terms. Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told outlets the boys had called

02:27their mum for Mother's Day, adding the phone call was a good sign and a step in the right direction.
