Harley, our green iguana, showing territorial behavior. Green iguanas are very territorial animals that will fight and seriously injure, sometimes even kill, other iguanas that enter their territories. They get particularly aggressive during the mating season. Territorial behavior and mating behavior can be very similar, both include aggressive behavior (Biting, tail whipping), extended dewlaps, raised bodies, chasing, head-bobbing, and so forth.
