00:00In the continuation of our news, aside from the possibility of volcano Canlaon erupting again,

00:06the local government is also monitoring the possible lahar flow if there is a strong rain.

00:13This is Jesse Atienza in the report.

00:18You can see in the vast area of Moises Padilla, the size of volcano Canlaon.

00:24To be honest, its distance from the town is far.

00:30We are passing by a river whose color has changed.

00:34This is the white water flowing here in the river of Barangay Ginpanaan in the town of Moises Padilla.

00:42Although this is not what most people see, this is what gives life to some of our fellowmen.

00:50On the side of the river, Manong Prudencio and his companions are taking a break.

00:54They are not here to relax.

00:57They are here to work.

00:59They are hauling sand that has a mixed layer at the bottom and sifting it to remove the rocks.

01:06We mix the sand to make a mixture.

01:11We also mix the sand with cement.

01:16Yes, it is stronger and we can save on cement.

01:20It is a blessing for them and they are hoping to get more.

01:26This is a relief for the MDRRMO of the town of La Castellana

01:31because they are currently monitoring the sudden heavy rains.

01:35Because of the possibility of lahar flow that could hit a large part of the town

01:41including the evacuation centers that are being evacuated.

01:44All of them have been evacuated because we are here in Mayanoy, in May Poblacion.

01:49Wherein, the risk of lahar is here compared to the pyroclastic above.

01:55So not only the LGU of La Castellana, also the nearby LGU of La Carlota, Bago City.

02:04We are in a large river basin.

02:07And then Isabela, the next LGU, and Binalbagan.

02:14So we are in a total of roughly more than 100,000.

02:20According to the Office of Civil Defense,

02:23there are 3 million cubic meters of lahar buildup in the volcano that needs to be activated.

02:29One of the plans is to open a tent city in the town of Ponte Vedra

02:34where all of the evacuees of La Castellana will be evacuated.

02:38Meanwhile, the volcano Canglaon erupted again at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

02:46The siren was sounded as a warning for the possible eruption of the volcano.
