McCartney fans queue in Manchester for Beatles legend's first UK tour stop  Paul McCartney fans queue in Manchester for the first of the Beatles' legend's gigs on home soil on his "Get Back" tour. The 82-year-old grew up in nearby Liverpool where the Fab Four were formed more than 60 years ago. McCartney will perform one further show in Manchester and wrap with tour concerts in London.  "He's timeless. He's a legend. It seems like he doesn't age and the music doesn't age either," says Rianne Downey, 24, a musician from Glasgow who was among thousands of fans. 00:46for I guess as long as I can really remember.

00:49I grew up listening to his music and then learned so much from his music as well.

00:54That's the thing with Paul McCartney, he's timeless, he's a legend.

00:58It seems like he doesn't age and the music doesn't age either.

01:04I first saw Paul McCartney in 1963 at the Hume Hippodrome

01:12and he was on with the Beatles and they sang three songs.

01:16They sang Twist and Shout, Till There Was You and Please Please Me.

01:23So it's part of me growing up, so that's why we're here.

01:32I'm a big fan of the Beatles, I've been listening since I was 11 years old

01:38and I just started studying English because of the Beatles.

01:41It's my second concert.

01:45You can't miss one now because you don't know what yours is going to be about.

01:50Like anyone, he's got to step down soon and if we say this might be his last tour

01:55then we can say we've seen the last tour.

01:57And if he does have another one, we'll be there anyway.
