00:00Early on Saturday, coming up, SMU squaring off against Penn State Nittany Lions.

00:08They're booked as eight and a half point favorites.

00:10They'll be playing at home at Beaver Stadium with a total of 53 and a half.

00:15How do you expect this one to fare going against the overachieving Mustangs?

00:20Yeah, and I think they're going to continue to overachieve.

00:24I know they had a very difficult first half against Clemson in the ACC title game, but

00:30what we saw down the stretch was more symbolic of who SMU is.

00:36Tremendous speed on both sides of the ball.

00:38They do a great job of getting after the quarterback.

00:42I don't have a ton of faith in Drew Aller, the Penn State quarterback.

00:47I think this game is actually close.

00:49It's going to be tough.

00:50SMU has never been in this position before.

00:52It's going to be a whiteout in Happy Valley.

00:55Penn State's got a tremendous defense.

00:57We've already talked about Tyler Warren, the best tight end in the country.

01:00I think Penn State wins, but I think SMU is going to keep this close.

01:04I'm going to take the eight and a half in this game.

01:07And Rich, how big is that for you, you know, on the betting side of things and looking

01:10at how some of these games could fare, playoff atmosphere in a situation like that, a stadium

01:16like that, it is going to be a raucous atmosphere, even tougher for some of these exiting teams

01:21down on the run.

01:22Yeah.

01:23I mean, Penn State is always difficult.

01:26It would be even harder if this was a night game, but during the day, just the same.

01:30And how about, how about weather, SMU not particularly accustomed to the cold Pennsylvania

01:37weather.

01:38It'll be a cold, brisk, probably 30 to 35 and windy.

01:41This is weather that SMU is not used to.

01:44Communications will be difficult, pre-snap communications.

01:48Just being able to hear themselves, Kevin Jennings in particular at quarterback.

01:53So it's a difficult setting, but I like the athletes on SMU.

01:57I think this one is going to be close.

01:58I see Penn State by seven, which is why I'm going to take those eight and a half points.

02:03I like that Penn State at eight and a half.

02:07Second biggest favorite there for the first round of the playoffs.
