00:00Dole assured that aid will be immediately allocated to those affected by the Canlaon Volcano.

00:06The DNR will also continue to monitor the air quality in areas near the volcano.

00:13This is Ephraim Gaitos of Radyo Pilipinas for Balitang Pambansa.

00:19The Department of Labor and Employment, or DOLE, will wait for the situation in Negros Island to be safe before providing aid.

00:27DOLE's priority is the safety of their workers who will carry out programs for the affected residents of the Canlaon Volcano eruption.

00:37Our regional personnel are monitored so that they can be accommodated.

00:44Once we are assured that everything is okay,

00:48we will not put our aid workers' lives in danger.

00:53And our fellow citizens in the area of Canlaon.

00:57DOLE will also provide assistance to our Disadvantaged Displaced Workers, or DDP,

01:05for clearing and cleaning operations in Negros Island.

01:08The Department of Environment and Natural Resources will daily provide updates on the air quality

01:15in areas near the Volcano Canlaon,

01:18in accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s orders.

01:22According to the investigation, two ambient air quality monitoring stations

01:27were found to be unhealthy for a sensitive group of people in Region 6.

01:32This means that those with respiratory diseases need to be careful

01:36by limiting going out of their homes and wearing a face mask.

01:42We have registered two stations that are unhealthy for a sensitive group of people.

01:52This is our station in May, Aralal Station, and the other is in Balinasag, Bago City.

02:03So there are two stations where the air quality is unhealthy as far as the PM10 results.

02:16Currently, the DENR is continuing to contact the affected government agencies

02:22such as the Department of Health and local governments

02:25to ensure the safety and well-being of residents from the eruption of the Volcano Canlaon.
