00:00I think they stand in the doorway of possibility.

00:05And that's not me diverting it.

00:07I think there's a really special scene

00:10that Danny and Grandpa Reagan share.

00:12And I think it definitely foreshadows

00:16where Danny's life can go after the show.

00:18And the first time he mentions it is with bias.

00:22And it's really up to the audience

00:25to sort of imagine where they're gonna go.

00:26But I think, look, I think whatever happened

00:31with them had to happen after Blue Bloods

00:35because it's true.

00:39You know, if Danny and Bias, look,

00:41they didn't get along for a long time as partners

00:44and she really helped get him to evolve

00:47and change and become a better guy

00:50and in turn a better detective

00:52and he was already a good one.

00:53But I think if they started dating on the show

00:56with five years left or something,

00:58it just would have been about the dating.

01:00And we would have then had to make them

01:02start not getting along again to keep it interesting.

01:06And, you know, and that's the easier story lines

01:11to write is conflict, right?

01:12So it just would have been a lot of conflict.

01:15And I think I really enjoyed the arc

01:17that we shared together with Danny and Bias

01:21as them evolving as friends and partners

01:24and building a real love and respect for each other

01:28that didn't really have to turn into a relationship.

01:31I love the character of Danny Reagan.

01:33It's been one of the great highlights of my career

01:37is to have gotten to play that character.

01:40You know, to play him without the rest of the Reagans

01:43or in some spinoff, it would need to be done carefully

01:48and with a lot of consideration

01:49for the last 14 years of the show.

01:52But I love the character,

01:54and I certainly thought there were a lot more stories

01:57that we could tell with him.

01:58So I'm not saying there will be a spinoff.

02:02I'm just saying I haven't closed the door on the character

02:05or on somehow, even if there is something for Danny,

02:08somehow incorporating some of the Reagans into that too

02:12and some of the other characters from Blue Bloods.

02:13It's a legacy show, and I think people still want it

02:18and they want more.

02:19And of course I'm open to that.
