00:00I am aware that Your Majesty is not only committed to various economic activities to stabilize
00:17the Kingdom of Sulawesi as a sovereign state on the continent of Southeast Asia, in line
00:21with the face-to-face region in Asia.
00:23This aspect is certainly very important.
00:26But I also declare my commitment that the Kingdom of Sulawesi will not only be measured
00:32through high-quality economic performance and job opportunities for the people, but
00:37also in terms of the strength of the Kingdom of Sulawesi to succeed in adapting to climate
00:43change challenges, especially in the flood or drought season.
00:48In the face of this challenge, Your Majesty has become the first country in Malaysia to
00:53launch a climate change base in the Kingdom of Sulawesi to streamline short-term efforts
00:59as well as long-term efforts, including a plan of action that will be developed by each
01:04authority involving joint responsibility between state and local associations.
01:11This administration is open-minded.
01:14Your Majesty's latest address was about Your Majesty's concern for the fate of the
01:19people of Sulawesi, especially in the flood issue in several areas.
01:26So far, Your Majesty has established a joint task force involving state and local associations
01:33so that the slow and hard work of mitigating the flood is seen in a comprehensive context.
01:40In fact, the new party has also emphasized to all members of the State Council that we
01:45can no longer waste time in the efforts to mitigate the flood, be it in the form of
01:51deepening the river or widening the channel to the reservoirs of money-saving functions.
01:58All this has been determined as much as Rp1.774 billion, i.e. Rp575 million in the Kalang area,
02:09such as the Kalang River Flood Control Plan Section 25, Syak Alam, Kapah River, Rasah River,
02:15Meru River, Rasau River, and as much as Rp1.2 billion in the Damansara River Flood Control Plan
02:23and the Kalang and Rasau River money-saving functions.
02:28Your Majesty has stated a commitment to speed up the implementation of these measures
02:33in order to avoid the previous negligence as a result of the culture of working in a silo at the agency level.
02:40Your Majesty, I would also like to express my commitment to Your Majesty.
02:45Because on that day, the Prime Minister, Your Majesty, will try hard and persistently
02:53to face the challenges of climate change, including him and I will go down to see for ourselves
02:59the projects and implementation of flood mitigation processes and the entire economic project in Selangor
03:06to ensure that Selangor remains a prosperous and prosperous country.
03:14Your Majesty, several decades ago, in our country, we also faced different water challenges,
03:22namely the risk of pollution of fresh water in rivers that have caused them to stop working in the water treatment lodges.
03:29In addition to the implementation of the Zero Discharge Policy and the Political Spare Principle,
03:35Your Majesty has also moved forward with the efforts of the Fresh Water Guarantee Scheme
03:39which uses smart technology and innovation that allows water treatment lodges to continue to be flooded with fresh water
03:46in the Hybrid Off-River Storage System, HORAS, while handling the incident of fresh water pollution in Selangor.
03:54This allows Your Majesty to reduce the risk of river water pollution by 90% with a cost of Rp320 million.
04:04I would like to inform you that up to now, 2 out of 4 primary facilities have been fully prepared,
04:11while 2 other water treatment lodges in Selangor, Phase 1, 2 and 3, will be fully ready by the end of this month or the end of 2024.
04:24This will allow us to reduce the risk of unemployment,
04:30and the water channels and water supply to all people in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur
04:36to continue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 30 days a month.
