00:00First in our news, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that the government is ready to address

00:06the needs of our affected countrymen who are affected by the eruption of Vulcan Canlaon.

00:13Aside from sufficient relief assistance,

00:25Following the eruption of Mount Canlaon, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that the government is ready

00:34to help the affected families.

00:37According to the President, aside from the government's focus on the situation,

00:41they are also not afraid to help those affected by the calamity.

00:45In fact, he assured the DBM that the funds are sufficient to send assistance to those affected.

00:51First of all, I got the report from Secretary Rex Gatchalian who landed already in Negros

00:59early this morning. DBM has already assured me that they are ready.

01:06So yes, we are ready to support the families who have been evacuated outside the 6-kilometer danger zone.

01:23At the same time, DNR and DOST are moving to assess the situation.

02:05This includes services for communication, internet connectivity, and power supply.

02:10An additional 5,000 boxes of family food packs were sent by the DSWD Visayas Disaster Resource Center.

02:17Yesterday, the City Action Team of Canlaon City and other LGUs

02:22immediately moved to provide relief assistance to the evacuated evacuation centers.

02:26Transportation, hot meals, medical check-ups, and others were included in the assistance.
