00:00We know that the reason for the cost of medication is, first of all, medication.
00:06So now, there is no control.
00:09And in fact, the purchase of this drug has been monopolized for decades.
00:14So that's why we will cancel some commitments to one or two companies
00:20and ask the Ministry of Health, as some countries have done,
00:24to visit some countries in order to get a cheaper and cheaper generic drug.
00:31This generic drug is more famous in Brazil, India, and China.
00:36It is studied and does not necessarily come from America or Europe,
00:41where the cost is too high.
00:44Secondly, what is needed is diagnosis-related groups.
00:50In Malaysia, there is no control on standardizing costs yet.
01:00We refer to experts, specialists, and they determine.
01:05But there is a guidance line called DRG, diagnosis-related groups,
01:12on the cost of MRI, CT scan, and so on.
01:21So this must be controlled.
01:23Secondly, as it happens in the West, in America,
01:28if they make a stand, what is the guarantee
01:31that the patient will remain in the hospital for two or three years?
01:36If they return to the hospital with that problem,
01:42should the condition be known that the hospital has to pay a part,
01:50or half, or the full cost?
01:53This is being studied by the Ministry of Health.
01:56The third step is the introduction of what is called KKM colleagues.
02:04This is a collaboration with GLICS, the Ministry of Health,
02:08which is implementing a program
02:10where the Ministry, GLICS, and the patients
02:17can choose some additional facilities
02:21with minimal costs, not in the hospital,
02:26not in the private sector where the costs are too high.
