00:11But I mean, you know, the big question coming out of yesterday is that question was yesterday

00:19about the Niners or was yesterday about the bears?

00:23All I will say is I think the defense was about the Niners.

00:28Why?

00:28Because I saw the bears run for five yards of carry in a couple games in the lead up

00:34to this, and the Niners bottled up the run big time.

00:38I thought their defensive effort was really, really strong.

00:42They were flying around.

00:43Afonga gives them another defender in the box who knows how to play run defense.

00:49That's helped.

00:49I thought Campbell had his best game.

00:51I thought Mooney had his best game in a long time, in a long, long time.

01:02I mean, they had some guys playing up front, so I think defensively I want to give the

01:06Niners credit where credit's due as far as as far as defensively offensively.

01:14You know, this bears team, you know, they didn't have a lot.

01:21They didn't look like a lot to me.

01:23You know, Montez, I'll give the tackles credit.

01:27Jalen Moore and McKivitt shut down Montez Sweat and Daryl Taylor.

01:31They had the bears had three hits on the quarterback all day.

01:36So I mean, and Jalen Moore, who the hell are you?

01:47I love how the Niners have these guys that are just chilling on the bench for like a

01:59Yeah, and Jalen Moore is definitely one of those guys.

02:19He's hanging out now.

02:22Yeah, I mean, he's just chilling.

02:24He's I've interviewed him a couple of times.

02:26He's just the happiest guy there is.

02:29Yeah, I mean, he's a good football player.

02:31I thought Ben Barch, you know, he went out in this game, but I thought Barch was like,

02:34you know, he looks like a player.

02:36You know, that's the thing with Barch, though.

02:38He's gotten injured.

02:39Yeah, but it makes me it makes me wonder, though, if they wanted to move on from

02:43Brendel, how would Barch do as a center?

02:45You know, because he played center.

02:47So I like him.

02:48He just have to stay healthy.

02:50Yeah, he's kind of high cut.

02:52He got rolled up on from behind on a on a run block.

02:54Didn't he have like a dislocated knee in the past?

02:56He's had some some lower, like some issues with his legs.

02:58Remember, he's kind of long.

03:01You know, he's kind of a tall center.

03:02But no, I mean, Moore's played well.

03:04Barch has played well.

03:05So I would say defensively that that was a great effort.

03:09And I liked what I saw.

03:12They made Caleb, who at times looks really good.

03:15I mean, I think it's really clear when the Niners shut down the run.

03:19They're they're a world's better and they don't shut down the run much, but they shut

03:25down the Bears run.

03:26And every single time they got to third down, whether it was Malik Collins or Yatir Gross

03:32Matos, Leonard Floyd, somebody stepped up and made an impact play and got him on the

03:38ground on third down.

03:39So seven sacks.

03:41I mean, I think I got to think a few of them were on him since he came in with forty nine.

03:46Yeah, I mean, I agree with that.

03:48The only thing about the defense is they in the second half, they gave up the touchdown

03:52drive in the first series.

03:54Then freaking Caleb Williams fumbles and then they have a touchdown drive in their next

03:58series.

03:58So it's possible that the Niners were just kind of in like a not a prevent defense, but

04:03a softer zone because they're up by like thirty or twenty four or whatever.

04:06And I mean, really, Caleb Williams was just throwing like little seven yard outs the whole

04:11game.

04:11He never really threw a pass that really threatened the forty niners.

04:14So in that sense, they did a really good job.

04:17I'm curious to see what they'll do against, obviously, Stafford and golf, what they can

04:23do against more playoff caliber opponents.

04:26But like you said, those defensive linemen really stepped up from Gross Matos to Floyd

04:32to Collins.

04:33They hadn't done anything like that all year to do that without Bosa.

04:36That's a big deal.

04:38I still think, though, that like anything the Niners did yesterday was going to work.

04:42The Bears, let's talk about the Bears for like 60 seconds.

04:46Damn, that's all I have to say.

04:49They have talent.

04:50They're just they're hurt.

04:51D.J.

04:52Moore, that wasn't the D.J.

04:53Moore that the rest of the league saw this year.

04:56He was totally hurt.

04:58That first half of some of the worst football I've ever seen from an NFL team.

05:01Yeah, they had four yards.

05:02They were terrible.

05:03They were absolutely terrible.

05:04I'll say the other thing that stood out in this game, the Niners got their explosives

05:10going and the defense just gave none.

05:14I mean, the Bears had one double digit run.

05:18They had a 10 yard run from Caleb.

05:21That was their longest run.

05:22They did not have a 20 yard pass play.

05:24They had a 17, a 14 and a 14.

05:27But other than that, I mean, it was hardly any explosives for the Bears and the Niners

05:31had a bunch.
