00:00Not even a storm could stop the Skegness toy drive bringing joy to children in need this Christmas.
00:07In spite of many festive events being cancelled, a vanload of toys set off from PLHQ, the hideout cafe in Skegness,
00:16for the Storehouse Food Bank and Pilgrim Hospital's Children's Ward in Boston.
00:22Amongst the elves helping volunteers load the van were MP Richard Tice and the Mayor of Skegness, Councillor Adrian Finlay.
00:32So this is our third annual toy drive, we've been amazed at the generosity of the community so far.
00:38The boxes are just piling up now and we can't wait to deliver them to all the causes.
00:42Absolutely amazing, congratulations, I mean it's such a brilliant local initiative.
00:47So many toys have been donated for children at the Pilgrim and the Food Bank and Storehouse
00:53and I'm just absolutely in awe and so touched to be invited and I just congratulate everybody
01:00and thank everybody who's donated, it means so much to those in need at this time of Christmas.
01:06I was so bizarrely delighted this morning when I got the invitation to come along and buy a little bit more
01:11and obviously this morning you can see that the response, not just locally but south nationally,
01:16has come together to bring this, to make so many people happy.
01:20You guys giving up your time and your effort to get them all wrapped up and get them over,
01:25it's made so many people happy, definitely very commendable and such a kind thing to do.
01:30So now you've got to wrap them for the rest of the day!
01:32Well I'm going to stack them, you know I'm going to do a bit of wrapping.
01:36We're going to sort them.
01:37Thank you so much, well done, thank you.
01:39Thank you so much.
