00:00The Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecasted the onset of a second wave of floods
00:07within the next two weeks, starting Sunday, with Pahang and Johor among the states expected
00:13to be affected this time.
00:14Deputy Prime Minister and National Disaster Management Committee Chairman Datuk Seri Dr.
00:20Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said, however, floods are expected to occur from the end of this month
00:26until March next year, in Sabah and Sarawak.
00:29Ahmad Zahid said he hopes the second wave will not be as severe as the first.
00:34He added they are ready and have mobilized services, assets, personnel and equipment.
00:39He said this at the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur on Saturday after sending off the volunteers
00:44of the Barisan National Post-Flood Relief Mission to the east coast and northern region.
00:51Ahmad Zahid highlighted that 222,000 flood victims have received aid to date, expressing
00:58gratitude for the outstanding cooperation of NGOs in supporting relief efforts, including
01:04post-flood clean-up operations.

01:12Chairman, emphasized that the initiative demonstrates the coalition's unwavering commitment to serving
