Boogie was one of the first hard-blues/proto metal bands to gain notice in the San Fracisco area. Their studio career was limited to a studio demo recorded at Pacific High Records with three tracks: "In freak town", To me", and the long heavy cover of "Wade in the water". The reissue includes the original demo plus a selection of live tracks from 1969.
