Katherine had never experienced an earthquake as prolonged as the one that recently struck the northern California coast.

"I was outside when the 7.0 earthquake hit California today and decided to record a video to capture how it looked on camera," she shared with WooGlobe.

Her comments provide insight into how unsettling the experience was, comparing the sensation to riding a roller coaster—against her will.

"A few things fell over, but otherwise, we're all groovy here," she wrote online.

Katherine also noted that sirens blared for hours afterward, leaving her hoping that everyone in the area was safe.
