00:00The World Trade Organization continued the steps of the administration of Marcos Jr.

00:04to continue to improve the economy of the Philippines.

00:08President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. laid out the government's big plans

00:13to strengthen trade and commerce in other countries.

00:22The Philippines has strengthened its trade partnership with Canada

00:27and other members of the World Trade Organization.

00:30This is followed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s assistance to the director of WTO.

00:38President Marcos laid out the government's big plans

00:42to strengthen trade and commerce in other countries.

00:47According to the Philippine Development Plan,

00:50the government's goal is to increase the number of products sold in the trade market.

00:58The Philippines also positions the country as the primary supplier of services.

01:04These steps reflect the growing economy of the Philippines

01:10that reached 6% of the annual growth rate as estimated by the WTO.

01:16The WTO Director-Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Agriculture Chief Francisco Q. Laurel Jr.

01:25and Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque are expected to assist.

01:28The strengthening of the Philippine government and WTO is important

01:33because it is the so-called institution that establishes the foundation of trade and commerce.

01:39It is also the one that establishes the rules and regulations of the trade partnership

01:44so that the purchase of products and services will be open.

01:49Under President Marcos' assistance to the Canadian Minister of Export Promotion,

01:54International Trade, and Economic Development,

01:57the President assured that everything is being done to make the Philippines business and investment-friendly

02:03and to become a leading investment hub.

02:05The President's Create More Act law is in effect here.

02:09It includes incentives for taxes and discounts for local and foreign investors.

02:15The Team Canada Trade Mission in the Philippines has 300 delegates

02:21that is made up of 180 companies.

02:24In their visit, new partnerships are expected

02:28and new opportunities for work for the Filipinos will emerge.
