00:00Let's find out the reaction of some young people to the declaration of South Korean President Yun Suk-kyun of Emergency Martial Law.

00:08This is the national news of Gav Villegas.

00:12Many were surprised by the declaration of South Korean President Yun Suk-kyun of Emergency Martial Law

00:18through the unannounced late night address of this Tuesday

00:22because of President Kyun's support of North Korea in the activity of the main opposition of the country.

00:29Yun did not give details on how the Martial Law will be implemented.

00:33But in a statement of the Martial Law Commander,

00:35he said that all kinds of political activities in the country, including the National Assembly,

00:42as well as all media and publications are under the control of their Martial Law Command.

00:48The declaration of President Yun was called illegal by the leader of the opposition.

00:53The National Assembly passed a resolution that the declaration of the Emergency Martial Law should not have a visa.

01:00Out of 190, over 300 lawmakers were in favor of the lifting of the declaration.

01:05That's why this morning, the Martial Law was formally lifted in South Korea.

01:10Meanwhile, the United States is now monitoring the situation in South Korea

01:15according to a senior U.S. official.

01:17And South Korea is hoping to follow the rule of law.

01:20However, in the new Philippines now,

01:22Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega explained

01:25that tensions between North and South Korea are normal.

01:29It's not scary that there is tension

01:32because there is always tension against South Korea and North Korea

01:39or sometimes political tension of rival politicians in Seoul.

01:46So, it's normal for Filipinos.

01:50We haven't done any level of prohibition against South Korean travelers.

01:58We're not telling you not to go there,

02:02but you need to understand that in South Korea,

02:08this kind of politics can always happen at any moment.

02:13So, they need to do that.

02:15Maybe because of the tensions,

02:19because tourists always go to the borders of North Korea.

02:25It's close to Seoul.

02:26It's also called DMZ, the military zone.

02:29Maybe they're hoping that sometimes they can't go near the tourists.

02:35So, that's one of their plans.

02:38But there's no reason to cancel the trip.

02:42But you need to understand that there are tensions in South Korea.

02:48That's a political situation.

02:50According to Philippine Ambassador to South Korea,

02:54Maria Teresa Dizon de Vega,

02:56the situation of our fellow Filipinos is normal

02:59and it's normal for Filipinos to go there.

03:03Don't worry too much because our fellow Filipinos are okay here.

03:08There's no chaos in the streets.

03:12The traffic is always moving.

03:14People are also moving.

03:17We're always open to our lines of communication,

03:23our emergency numbers and other forms of communication.

03:27If our fellow Filipinos have a problem or challenges,

03:31they can contact us right away.

03:35But for now, as I said earlier,

03:37we're in Embahada, business as usual.

03:39We're open for regular operations.

03:42The Filipinos who are in the SOCOR were asked to remain calm and obey the order.

03:48In 1980, South Korea was the last one under the military law.
