00:00I live with my dog on Svalbard, an island close to the North Pole.

00:06During polar night it looks like this 24 7 for a few months.

00:09Because there is no sunrise Grim relies on me to tell him when to wake up.

00:16We suit up for our morning walk. First things first, snow bath.

00:24But when it's about minus 30 degrees he needs little booties.

00:28But it takes him a while to get used to them so he walks like a baby elephant.

00:33Grim is a winter breed so he stays warm in almost all temperatures.

00:39He really thrives in minus 30 degrees. One of our favorite things to do in the

00:43afternoon is to go on a hike to see the northern lights.
