00:08Today is Jericho Cup Day.

00:10Luke, tell me, preparations have been underway for a fair while, how are you feeling about

00:13the day?

00:14Yeah, they have.

00:15A lot of hard work going into today, obviously.

00:18Feeling really good.

00:19Our pre-sales were well up for this year.

00:20We obviously, you know, the event's gained a lot of momentum over the last few years,

00:21and this year's been about 10% up before we even opened and gained some momentum.

00:22So, which is nice.

00:23And tell me, the weather is definitely not putting a dampener on the spirits of punters

00:34today.

00:35No, it certainly isn't.

00:36We've got some people, a lot of people coming in actually.

00:38G'day, I'm Dave and I'm a member of the Light Horse Troop here that operates locally in

00:42the Warrnambool District area.

00:43We're known as the Corangamite Light Horse Troop.

00:46Today we're here at the Warrnambool races with the Jericho Cup.

00:49The significance of that, the Jericho itself is a little town that was attacked during

00:53World War One by the Australian Light Horse.

00:56And over the last few years here at the racetrack, they've celebrated that by having what they

01:01call the Jericho Cup, one of the longest flat races here in Australia.
