'So negative': West Brom fans air frustrations after yet another draw

Albion were looking to end their draw run and they took the lead with a sweeping move in the first half - finished off by Karlan Grant.
They had two half chances before coming out in the second half and being penned in by Preston.
Emil Riis levelled for them before a frustrating end to the half with Albion struggling to create any real clear cut chances.

00:00Ron, another Saturday, another draw. Can you sum up what you made of that one?

00:13I think after our goal we were too negative, we sat back far too deep. We had an initial

00:20spell of about 10 minutes after the goal and then after that it was mainly inviting Preston

00:26back into the match in my opinion.

00:28A bit disappointed. I think there's a bit of acceptance. We've got to accept where we're

00:34at. Why Fellows is playing left wing back I've got no idea. Callum Starr has been one

00:42of our best players for last month and on the bench. I'm guessing he's got the data

00:49and all that but it didn't look right and we didn't play very well. It's not good at

00:57the minute. People will go, was it 10-11 games unbeaten? It just doesn't look right.

01:12Disappointing. I think formulaic is the word. It's the same every week to be honest. The

01:18people who only go home games, you're not missing much here. Honestly, it's the same

01:22every time we go and watch a team play. It's what we're seeing. It's just so disappointing

01:27to be honest. Preston North End, they are so bad. I've been honest all season but they

01:34are not good really. That first half we played so well. We were getting in some great positions

01:41but just one goal and then it just shows football. One goal means nothing and they're capitalising

01:49in the second half. I just can't believe we came away with only a point today. I'm

01:54gutted to be honest.

01:55The first half, a lot of people have said Corbrandt is a bit too negative and we haven't

02:00tried to attack on this long run of draws. What we saw in the first half, Albion were

02:06a bit more open defensively but was it more entertaining? It was open and they were getting

02:12at Preston.

02:13I don't think it was entertaining in the least. The referee didn't do us no favours either

02:18but I think Albion should have stepped up to the mark. When Millum came on I think he

02:26was more up for it than some of the other players. That's what we should have been from

02:32the start. Once you want Mill up, try and stamp your authority on the game. With Corbrandt

02:39I don't know what's going on with him. He's too negative at the moment.

02:44In that second half, right from the first minute they just sat back and got what they

02:48deserved.

02:49You knew what Preston were going to do. They were going to come out and have a go at us

02:53and it's down to us to stand up to them. We didn't. We conceded.

02:56It's just annoying. We know we've got the good players but he brings on Styles and then

03:04Fellows gets into his position at right wing and then he takes them off. Just give him

03:11the opportunity to go and attack. I guess he must think this is decent. I don't know

03:19where we are on the table. It's not as if we're doing too badly. A lot of people here

03:27would be unhappy, me included. I guess what do we expect? I heard some chants of you don't

03:34know what you're doing at full time. Who do we want? What happens?

03:40Finally, Corbran's done a brilliant job collectively since he came to Albion. I know there's sections

03:46of supporters who are a little bit unhappy with the run and the style of play. What's

03:49your opinion and how do you feel the fan base are with Corbran at the moment?

03:54He's got credit in the bank, hasn't he? We have had a fantastic start. Obviously, what

03:59is it? Nine draws in the last eleven, is it? One win. He's still got credit in the bank.

04:07I hope he can sort it out. I hope he's seen it. He's given Dobbins a go today. He hasn't

04:12done very well. I'd like to see him give Cole a chance. Obviously, Magic need some help

04:20up front, in my opinion. Try and change the system. Try and play two up front. The Wingers

04:24are doing fantastic. Colin Grant's having a fantastic season. He merges with Colin Grant.

04:28That's good. He's just been too negative, in my opinion.

04:32It's ridiculous. People seem to forget that after that first game when he came in, I think

04:38it was Sheffield United at home, we were at the bottom of the league. Look at where we're

04:43at now, the resources he's had. Let's wait until January. I'd like to think he's now

04:49got some support. That squad, I think we'd all say it's not good enough to be competing

04:57at the top of the league. Look at what Leeds have got. Look at what Sheffield United have

05:00got. Look at what Burnley have got. That was an absolute pipe dream at the start of

05:05the season. If we get top six again, great. Do we really think us being in the Premier

05:11League is going to be a great decision? Probably not. I just think we all need to relax a little

05:18bit. I get ten games without a loss, but nine draws. I get it's pretty dull to watch. What

05:29do we want? Do you want to go and win three games and lose seven? I said this earlier.

05:35We've had 12 points the last ten games. Do you want to go and win three and lose seven?

05:41Is that really better? Is that what we want? No. We just need to have a little bit of settled

05:47time at the club. Things like Carlin Grant looks absolutely brilliant in there. I get

05:54it. The bench is nothing. Jeb Wallace comes on, he got booed at full-time, I get it. He

06:00gets the ball through on goal and he decides I'm going to try and do a bit of step-over

06:04and whatever. Ridiculous. We've just got to take a bit of time and relax and let this

06:12develop. If people don't want Corbran, fair enough. But if we didn't have Corbran, what

06:18would have happened? I don't even want to think about it. It would be terrible. This

06:23club would have been an absolute mess. I'm not Mr Corbran out, but I don't think he's

06:28got enough tools at his disposal to be honest. We've got nothing going forward off the bench

06:33really. Wallace seems to be the same thing every time. The guy runs in a straight line

06:37and gets tackled every time he goes forward, which he's in his mid-thirties. You can't

06:42really have too many complaints about him. We've just got nothing really different to

06:47offer. It's just the same thing every week. It's so frustrating, especially this week.

06:52We've had Sunderland on the Tuesday. We made that trip down, nil-nil, and then Preston

06:58today. It's not close by. It's still another 120-odd miles. It's just so disappointing.

07:06It's really got to be today. I am absolutely fuming to be honest. Just the disappointment

07:12and the bang averageness. If you're watching Albion play at the minute, you might as well

07:17go to the club and play a game of pool. If you lose, you lose.

07:22We just know what's going to happen. It's so average. I've got no feeling at the minute.

07:26It's just a draw every single bloody week.
