00:00COMM THE NOCTURNAL CAR CLUB IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST CUSTOMIZED VEHICLE CLUBS IN THE WORLD,
00:17WITH CHAPTERS ACROSS AMERICA, EUROPE AND ASIA.
00:20I say this is a hobby but it sure doesn't feel like a hobby, you put in more hours than
00:25you do at work, we love it, but it feels like a full time job.
00:29The members spend hundreds of thousands of pounds and countless hours turning their regular
00:33cars into moving, roaring works of art.
00:37Here you have a 1998 Chevy two-door Tahoe.
00:41We converted the whole front end as you see, fenders.
00:45We added oversized wheels, 28-inch, fully engraved and painted.
00:49We added a nice mural on top of the hood.
00:52Our caddy paint job, pearl paint job and then some pin striping.
01:00Money-wise, it's very hard to pinpoint it, but a rough estimate would probably be $90,000 to $100,000.
01:08I know it sounds like a lot to a lot of people, but also it's a build that has taken maybe four to four plus years.
01:18First started doing it for, you know, the girls. Why lie?
01:21But eventually you do it so long, you're overlooked at.
01:24That's not what you're building.
01:25You fall in love with the builds and, you know, the attention the builds get and everybody's reaction is something different.
01:32When they first see our rides on the street or anywhere we're setting them up,
01:35first thing that comes out of people's mouth is, you know, wow.
01:38Second thing is why would you do that to a new car?
01:41Our car club is we try to go after the newest stuff and pretty much mess it up.
01:46The car is great. It's fantastic.
01:49It seems there's no part of this car that's not customized.
01:56The paint is extraordinary. Definitely has show quality.
02:00This vehicle is definitely above the top. Unique.
02:07We ran out of ideas on cars, so why not build a golf cart, right?
02:10We put some 14-inch rims on the golf cart.
02:12LEDs all the way on the bottom. Halo lights.
02:15It's got TVs everywhere.
02:16We have an iPad that goes on the dash.
02:18Xbox 360 in the back.
02:20And actually this damn golf cart weighs probably as much as a car.
02:24I'm sitting on a good 12 batteries right now.
02:27You spend at least $5,000 just on these batteries.
02:30Despite the incredible amount of time and money involved in being a member of the club,
02:34it's grown exponentially since its inception in 2001.
02:39We started in Montebello, California.
02:41We've expanded to 28 chapters, including Texas, Florida, St. Louis, Chicago, New York, Arizona, Nevada, Utah,
02:52and now presently in Japan as well.
02:55Nocturnal as a club, I mean, now it's more like family.
02:58I've missed so many birthday parties, parties, and we've gone everywhere with these guys, with our members, you know,
03:04and sometimes they do more for you than your own family does.
03:09Everybody thinks I'm crazy in my family.
03:11They say I waste too much money on it, but my perks are different.
03:15My rewards are different.
03:17I grew up reading the Lowrider magazine here, always aspired to maybe one day come out in the magazine,
03:23but successfully we've won, and I'm a three-time champ when it comes to Lowrider.
03:30They say I'm obsessed with all these vehicles, but I don't call it obsessed.
03:33It's just, you know, what you love doing.
