Michael Smith's amazing Christmas display in his North Shore garden in Blackpool is bigger and better than ever

00:00Hello it's Richard Hunt from the Blackpool Gazette. I'm outside the home

00:04of Michael Smith and every year Michael turns his front garden into a kind of

00:09winter wonderland type scenario with some wonderful festive figures which he's

00:14collected over the years and steadily the collection has been growing. They're

00:19amazing figures which brighten up life for people going past. It cheers them up

00:24every year. Michael loves Christmas and he also does a Halloween thing as well

00:27but in the evening the figures are illuminated so it creates a very very

00:32bright cheery spectacle for anyone going by. I will just show you some of the

00:37amazing figures if we can and you'll be able to see. So there are penguins and

00:48there's one up there on this wonderful letterbox and there's Santa's sleigh up

00:55there. We've got these military figures, Santa himself, some beautiful reindeers and various other figures up there as well.

01:04So it's a it's a wonderful scenario. He does this every year and tries to raise

01:09money for charity. This year seems to be bigger and better than ever. So when

01:15he puts up these things he doesn't do it by hearse. It's a wonderful collection

01:18and if anyone's walking past they can enjoy it. So it's Richard Hunt of the
