00:00The Department of Justice will also investigate the former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:04He is still following his military statements that can be considered as bordering to sedition.

00:16The former President Rodrigo Duterte has nothing to do with the investigation of the Department of Justice.

00:22According to the DOJ,

00:23it can be considered as bordering on sedition the former President's hasty action to the Armed Forces of the Philippines

00:31that moved against the fractured governance in the Philippines.

00:36Because of this, it is possible for the investigation of him and his son, Vice President Sara Duterte, to be conducted at the same time.

00:44The statements of the former President Duterte will also be investigated at the same time as what is happening now.

00:56For him to invite the military to have a part in seeking remedy is bordering on sedition.

01:05The DOJ also pointed out that the military has no role in leading the government.

01:10Their only duty is to protect the people.

01:13So if the former President has a problem with the government, he should pass it to the law and not the military.

01:21The military has no role whatsoever in civil governance except to protect the people.

01:29There is no remedy that can possibly come from the military.

01:34If there is any legal remedy, they need to exhaust.

01:39The judicial and legal processes are available.

01:42The DOJ also believes that despite the calls of the former President, the AFP will remain faithful to the government and professional.

01:51When it comes to Duterte's statement that the country has a fractured government, the DOJ's answer is simple.

01:58There is no such thing as a fractured governance.

02:02Whatever that means coming from the former President.

02:05We have a strong and functioning republic.

02:09There is no such thing as fractured governance.

02:12The Justice Department is also looking into where the silence came from in the demonstrations against the government.

02:19The DOJ assures that it is being chased.

02:23As of now, the former President has not commented on the ongoing investigation against him by the DOJ.
