Nicaragua approves law against international sanctions

Nicaragua's National Assembly approved on Monday a series of measures to protect citizens and penalize companies that abide by foreign restrictions. teleSUR

00:00And in Nicaragua, the National Assembly passed a law against the imposition of foreign sanctions

00:06that violate international law.

00:08The bill, proposed by the presidency, is titled Protection of Nicaraguans against External

00:13Sanctions and Aggressions.

00:15It imposes penalties on those entities that implement these coercive measures against

00:20the country.

00:21With its approval, no entity or person in the country may deny or suspend services to

00:25natural and legal individuals, private entities, and state institutions.

00:30For his part, legislator Filiberto Rodríguez rejected the interfering actions of foreign

00:34governments and invited the Nicaraguan people to comply with and enforce this law with all

00:39the legal instruments at their disposal.
