00:00The Banco Central ng Pilipinas or BSP has collected 1.082 billion worth of coins through its coin deposit machines.

00:08The central bank announced over 280 million pieces of coins have been accumulated

00:14and more than 255,000 transactions have been processed.

00:19Introduced on June 20th last year, the project enables customers to easily deposit their legal tender coins

00:26which can be credited to their e-wallets or converted into shopping vouchers.

00:31The coin deposit machines support the BSP's coin recirculation program

00:36which aims to bring idle coins back into circulation to meet the country's currency demands.
