00:03Michael is probably the more romantic person.

00:18And we called him Dad.

00:30Coming out is a very important part for a gay person's moment, a kind of watershed moment

00:40in a gay person's life.

00:41Because in that moment, you're allowed to just be who you are.

00:51She kind of became an advocate for the gay community in India.

01:00I was very in love with his smile.

01:17He was kind of looking angry and I found that very sexy, actually, when I first met him.

01:30That's my father and my mother.

01:51Why don't you get married?

02:00To us, you know, marriage is just between two souls.

02:07It doesn't need to be a man and a woman.

02:10So he immediately agreed and he's explaining to us the importance of marriage and staying

02:15together.

02:24Later, we did a lot of travels together.

02:26I'll deal from a couple without children for over 20 years.

02:57Which essentially, in the Indian family, the child is very important.

03:09There's this notion that gay people shouldn't have families, that we're not capable of raising

03:15children.

03:16And we call them Shiv and Amrita.

03:19Every school in Delhi is difficult for admission.

03:22But we got in on the international quota.

03:24We had a challenge because the schools didn't have a category for gay families.

03:31So we had to apply under single parent, but we weren't single parent.

03:37It was just kind of...

03:49Our class teachers know that we have to dance and most of our friends know that we have

04:03to dance since they're close to us.

04:06But if no one knows, we just tell them that they had cerebracy.

04:12I still don't know what that is.

04:14It's pretty easy to explain.

04:19Accept the gay marriage.

04:21They can't judge someone on who they're marrying.
