00:00In 1986, he said, I want to rob a bank.
00:03I said, no, you can't.
00:04You can't rob a bank.
00:19I said, no, no, I can't do that.
00:21And he said, I will kill your family one by one,
00:24unless you help me.
00:30The thing about good ways is you have to go slow.
00:33I knew it was wrong from the first one through the 56th one.
01:00I'm just hot.
01:16I'm sexy.
01:18I'm sexy.
01:29I think John looked at the money in the robberies.
01:32I looked at trying to live through another one.
01:35I got violent after every one.
01:37People think it's exciting.
01:39It's not exciting at all.
01:40It's fear.
01:42I mean, it's nothing like pure fear.
01:47I guess I loved him a lot.
02:15I was insecure.
02:17I was very agonistic.
02:18I've gotten a lot of self-confidence through the years.
02:22Talking to John, there was some hints
02:24that maybe he was the more controlling partner.
02:26He's a guy who spent a lot of time in a room alone
02:28by himself, telling a story that he then told us.
02:31And we kind of experienced your relationship
02:38in the past and in the present as it unfolds in the film.
02:43It was a love story that became something else.
02:47When I met him, I knew he had been in a state prison in Texas.
03:09But I believed in second chances.
03:11If I could go back and do things differently,
03:14I probably wouldn't have married him.
03:15I would have said, oh no, I don't want nothing to do with somebody.
03:18I had trouble getting a relationship advice
03:20other than get to know the person very, very, very well
03:24before you commit to a whole lifetime relationship.
03:28Apparently, John had some scheme when he was still in state prison
03:34to marry, take out a life insurance policy, and kill the bride.
03:40When I heard that, that was scary.
03:42I mean, I'm just going to say it out loud.
03:43That was very scary to hear.
03:45I feel a lot better about myself.
03:47I don't go to the corner of a room.
03:49I'll go out and meet people because now I know I'm worthy.
