In the new “Indiana Jones” film, Harrison Ford was de-aged using AI.

00:04Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The actor revealed that the technology was able to go

00:09through all of the footage Lucasfilm has of him, as well as unreleased footage to create a base

00:14for the digital de-aging. The result was a digital version of Ford that appeared to be the same age

00:19he was when he first played Indiana Jones in the 1980s. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said

00:25that although the de-aging will be talked about in terms of technology,

00:29they hope it's so convincing that viewers will just think it's footage shot 40 years ago.

00:33Ford said it was a bit spooky seeing the digitally younger version of himself,

00:37but it's the first time he's seen it where he believes it.

00:40I don't think I even want to know how it works, but it works," Ford said.

00:44It doesn't make me want to be young, though. I'm glad to have earned my age.
