00:00Hundreds of people took to the streets of Porto in two different protests on Saturday,
00:06one against illegal immigration and insecurity, organized by the far-right Chega party, and
00:12the other against fascism and racism, organized by 28 civil society groups.
00:17We have heard xenophobic speeches, humiliating situations, and this no longer fits in a civilized
00:32population. That's why we are here. Fascism, never again.
00:37On the other hand, the Chega leader demanded more security.
00:41Portugal needs immigrants who come here to work, it doesn't need immigrants who come here to commit crimes.
00:46Portugal has to have, like all decent countries, control of its borders, and it hasn't had that until now.
00:51According to the government, Portugal has seen a 33% increase of foreigners in the past year.
