00:00A massive fire swept through Isla Puting, Bato, a densely packed slum area in Manila

00:07on Sunday.

00:09According to the Manila Fire District, the blaze destroyed around 1,000 homes, believed

00:14to have started on the second floor of one residence.

00:17There were no immediate reports of casualties.

00:20The affected structures housed approximately 2,000 families.

00:25Fire and disaster services deployed 36 trucks and four fireboats, while the country's Air

00:30Force dispatched two helicopters to assist in extinguishing the blaze.
