00:00In Muntinlupa City, 5 more Korean fugitives were caught in the making of a bogus cryptocurrency website.

00:08They were able to steal more than 160 million pesos from their victims while they were operating here in the Philippines.

00:24But they were not able to escape from the combined force of the B.I. Fugitive Search Unit and the Korean Interpol,

00:30the target of 5 Korean fugitives in Muntinlupa.

00:33According to the B.I.F.S.U., according to the e-scam,

00:36the 5 people were able to steal 165 million pesos from their victims while they were operating here in the Philippines.

00:42The operation has been going on for several years and they are moving places to avoid being caught.

00:48They set up a fake website or cryptocurrency platform

00:54where they deceive their victims to invest there and buy cryptocurrency.

01:01And eventually, the victim will know that the money they paid is really not equivalent to cryptocurrency.

01:20In the last operation, the group's house was also attacked.

01:25Some Filipinos were able to escape from there.

01:28They are now imprisoned in the B.I.F.S.U. detention facility in Bicutan.
