00:13As the premier institution for research, technology, and environmental conservation at Benguet State University,

00:23the incoming BSU President, Dr. Kenneth Lauran,
00:27has already made his debut.
00:29Dr. Lauran has already measured the number of returnees per month.

00:38As the new President of Benguet State University, Dr. Kenneth Alip Lauran,
00:43a seasoned academic professor and forestry expert,
00:46Dr. Lauran has completed his degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Forestry
00:50at the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2011 as a professor of 60 BSU.
00:56He also became the Director of the Cordillera Regional Apiculture Center.
01:00This is the first time that the University of the Philippines
01:04has accepted the appointment of the Benguet State University
01:07as the premier institution for research, technology, and environmental conservation
01:12which will enter the Northern Luzon in 2032.
01:15For several years, the BSU is recognized as the lead academic institution here in Cordillera.
01:22So with that, we would like to go higher.
01:24It will be a little ambitious for us to achieve that we are at the top of the Northern Luzon.
01:30At first, it was assumed that the success of this initiative,
01:34innovative and transformative research in the field of technology,
01:39will force responsive and proactive community extension programs
01:43to support livable communities
01:46and to improve the system for institutional development.
01:51This year, the University of the Philippines will continue its course of medicine
01:54in order to acquire facilities and funds.
01:57This December, the new Vice President, Deans, and Directors of the University will be elected.
02:04The next thing that we are going to do is we are going to have our strategic planning.
02:08So in the strategic planning, we will establish what targets we will target within the next four years
02:15and of course, what should be targeted every year.
02:18It is obvious that this university has a lot of employees.
02:21The quality of the consultative and decision-making that this university has is excellent.
