00:00From artificial engineers to music therapists and electric vehicle technicians, these are
00:08some of the jobs of the future, according to the latest report by Job and Skills Australia.
00:14The report is released annually to give a national view of the current and future shape
00:19of Australia's workforce.
00:21It has identified 37 emerging roles in four key categories, net zero, healthcare and medical,
00:29data and technologies and science and engineering.
00:33Job and Skills Australia estimates the biggest area of growth will be in health, with strong
00:40demand for community mental health workers, allied health assistants, palliative care
00:45nurses and music therapists.
00:48The report also found there will be a lot of new roles in technology and in the clean
00:53energy workforce, such as cloud developers, energy engineers and sustainability consultants.
01:02While more than 90% of employment growth in the next decade will be in jobs that need
01:07post-secondary school qualifications, only half of that growth will need a university
01:14degree.
01:15The Job Skills Commissioner says the other half will be taught in vocational education
01:19and training, and tradies will continue to be in high demand.
