00:00We bring to you Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager, it is Jerry Jones.
00:19Good morning, sir.
00:20Hey, man.
00:21Good morning.
00:22Now, I know we got a lot of talk about with this team, but we've gone through this a few
00:27years in a row now.
00:28Darren Woodson is once again a semi-finalist for the Hall of Fame.
00:33He'll probably become a finalist.
00:35It feels criminal that Darren Woodson is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
00:40Does it not?
00:42Well, from our perspective, it does.
00:45I know what he meant to the teams that he played on for the Cowboys.
00:50I know what his contributions were.
00:54And I know how the opposing teams respected him.
00:59And he, to me, is what a Hall of Famer is.
01:04And his story is wonderful.
01:07He has been exemplary, and it'd be great for the Hall of Fame to have him in it.
01:14Do you have, sorry, do you have any idea, like, you've been around this a long time.
01:18Do you have any idea what might be keeping him out, like, besides the voting?
01:22I get that.
01:23Why he might not get the votes?
01:25Well, I don't know.
01:27You know, I've heard different positions have emphasis.
01:31And I've heard that about tight ends.
01:34I've heard it about safeties, if you will.
01:37But that is only when you're looking why it's been that long.
01:45But let me say this.
01:47Just think about this a minute.
01:48It doesn't matter when you go in.
01:53It matters to you individually, I'm sure, and your family.
01:57But once you're in, that's Hall of Fame.
02:01And it didn't make any difference what boat you got in on or what year you got in on.
02:06You get to enjoy it longer if you are in the Hall of Fame and got a lot more years to live.
02:12But fundamentally, he is a Hall of Famer in our minds, my mind.
02:18And when he goes in, he will have his rightful place there.
